Technical Specifications & Benefits
Premium Plate’s industrial structural steel coating services offer strong corrosion protection and durability. We apply coverings on plate surfaces after stringent SSPC-compliant prep and with documented quality control.
Specifications:
- Abrasive blast cleaning to the standard SSPC SP-10 Near-White specification and with a 1.5–2.5 mil sharp, dense profile.
- High build primers/topcoats applied up to a nominal thickness of ~5 mil DFT (dry film thickness) from major suppliers.
- Dry film thickness verified after curing, according to SSPC PA-2, and results recorded.
- Option to retain a 3" uncoated margin for welding or simultaneously apply weldable primer to the plate bottom.
- After curing, plates can be beveled, squared, and rolled to ≥ 20 ft radius without removing the covering.
